GO BAGS – Fighting Back Santa Maria Valley
Santa Maria Valley Rotaract’s first project was a partnership with Fighting Back Santa Maria Valley. GO BAGS is an original class project from Leadership Santa Maria Valley 2013.
The project has continued over the years providing “GoBags” with basic necessities for children in the Foster Care System in Santa Maria.
SMV Rotaract collected over 80 bags with the help of friends , family , and local business owners in the month of February. A special thank you to Transformation Butterfly for helping us give back to the children of Santa Maria.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Maria Valley – Painting for a Cause
Over the last few months the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Maria Valley has been completing renovations to their location to better serve the youth of Santa Maria. On December 4th 2016 SMV Rotaract joined forces with to help repaint the walls in their gym. We had a great time volunteering and completing this project. A special thank you to the volunteers from Tolman and Wiker Insurance Services that came out to join us on this awesome project and to the staff of the Boys and Girls for partnering with us to serve the youth of Santa Maria !

CALM’s Adopt a Family Project – Wrapping Party
Our December meeting was a very special one for our club. In true Rotaract Spirit we will be participating in the 7th Annual Gift Giving Program Adopt a Family through the CALM organization.
We wrap gifts for our adopted family We had a great time wrapping all of our presents for the family of 5 we adopted through the CALM Adopt a Family program. Check out it out !!

Shoes for Students Golf Tournament
SMV Rotaractors participating in the Shoes for Students Golf Tournament.This fundraiser is to help out needy children in Santa Maria by providing them shoes to have for the school year. Were so happy to support this organization. A special thank you to our sponsor Breakfast Time Rotarian Kate Ferguson for sponsoring our hole and making this such a fun event for our club to be a part of!!
SMV Rotaract Open House
Our goal is to spread the mission of Santa Maria Valley Rotaract to the masses.
On November 16th ,2016 we held our first Open House. We laughed , shared stories , and discussed our service passions with one another. We had so many new faces attend and learn all about service above self.
